What's the difference between a Level 1 and Level 2 charger?
A Level 1 charger is the plug-in cord that comes with most EVs. It runs on a standard 120V outlet and adds about 3 to 5 miles of range per hour, so a full overnight charge gets you 30 to 50 miles. A Level 2 charger runs on a 240V circuit (the same kind your dryer uses) and adds 25 to 35 miles per hour, fully charging most EVs overnight. If you drive more than 30 miles a day or own a long-range EV, Level 2 is the right answer.
What brands of EV chargers do you install?
We install Tesla Wall Connector, Tesla Universal Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Wallbox Pulsar Plus, Grizzl-E, Emporia, Enphase, JuiceBox, and most other major UL-listed brands. If you’ve already bought a charger, we’ll install it. If you haven’t, we’ll recommend the right one for your vehicle, garage layout, and panel capacity.
Which EV charger should I buy?
It depends on three things: your vehicle, your garage layout, and your panel capacity. For most Tesla owners we recommend the Tesla Universal Wall Connector. For non-Tesla EVs (Ford, GM, Hyundai/Kia, Rivian, etc.), the ChargePoint Home Flex or Wallbox Pulsar Plus are excellent universal choices. We’ll walk you through the decision during the free estimate.
